Top Lock Nuts

Top lock nuts have a tapered top to prevent loosening of the bolt.  This lock nut slightly distorts threads of the mating part to achieve the locking application.  The mating part cannot be reused after application.  Top lock nuts are commonly used in the automotive industry.
